Job Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintenance of injection molding machines, facility equipment, building maintenance and repairs.
This will be an off-shift position and will train on first shift. Pay range is $18.50-$24.02.
EDUCATION:
1. High School Diploma required. Mechanical or Electrical degree preferred.
2. Previous machine maintenance/repair experience and knowledge of electrical, air and hydraulic schematics preferred.
3. Knowledge of 120, 240- and 480-volt electrical applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Promotes an atmosphere conscience of health, safety, and environmental practices, in support of the plant HSE/EMS policies daily.
2. Performs daily job duties to the objectives outlined in the Quality Policy.
3. Understands and performs daily job duties in a manner which supports the Plant goals and Quality objectives.
4. Communicates status of machine demand maintenance items with the operator and team leader to ensure safe operation of process and logical throughput.
5. Consults with other maintenance personnel, maintenance team leader and engineering at appropriate intervals regarding machine downtime issues.
6. Responsible for demand and preventive maintenance.
7. Reports and repairs safety issues.
8. Completes maintenance log daily regarding demand maintenance issues from the shift.
9. Responsible for assisting with repairs/maintenance within the facility.
10. Responsible for improving the knowledge base within Maintenance.
11. Assists in the build of new equipment.
12. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
1. Able to estimate the amount of downtime required to repair a piece of equipment to provide the production team leader the ability to adjust work/customer demands accordingly.
2. Judgment to ensure a safe working environment on behalf of self and others.
3. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
4. Mechanical aptitude/ experience.
5. Must be able to read blue prints
6. Ability to use power tools and operate powered lift equipment.
7. Experience with welding/carpentry is preferred, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Lifting and moving of objects up to 70 lbs.
2. Able to climb, bend, twist, stoop, walk, push cart and work off ground in high areas
3. This position requires precautionary detail when working with electrical processes.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1. Must be able to work overtime on very short notice
2. Flexible to overtime when deemed necessary
