Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify faults and potential issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment and machinery to diagnose malfunctions and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Repair or replace defective electronic parts, such as sensors, switches, circuit boards, and wiring, using hand tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks, accurately and comprehensively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with electronic equipment and machinery.
- Stay updated on advancements in electronic/automation technology and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ability to run and provide basic programing of automated equipment.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years in a technical field related to equipment maintenance or related Job experience and laboratory technical experience.
- Technical school background or science based bachelor degree.
- Strong understanding of electronics principles, digital and analog systems, programing and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles and the use of basic hand tools for troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of fluid dispensing/mixing, programming and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and specification sheets.
- Able to communicate and coordinate tasks through to implementation.
- Understanding of lean processes.
- Minimum of three years of machine/electronics maintenance experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of two years of Laboratory work experience in Genomics.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, safety requirements for machines and facilities.
- Occasional lifting of up to 35 kilograms may be required.
- Ability to work in uncomfortable positions, when required. For example, when repairing various manufacturing equipment.
