What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Manager -Senior Event Planning and Coordination Manager position at CoordEgy, Inc?
As a core part of our marketing efforts to bring to life our CoordEgy, Inc, the Events Manager must be able to focus on both the strategic and execution side of events. This role will partner within Marketing and across the business to define the event strategy at the Rockefeller Capital Management level and at the local level working with each of the key divisions of the Rockefeller Global Family Office, as well as be the driver of event process and execution. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with impeccable attention to detail, and the confidence and curiosity to drive a best-in-class agenda for digital and in-person events.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute client- and prospect-focused events, manage logistics related to RCM presence or speaking engagements at industry events, and serve as advisor/resource for internal events.
- Develop and manage the annual calendar of client- and prospect-focused events; partner within Marketing and across business to align on event objectives, positioning, messaging, and deliverables, and then carry out seamless execution pre-, during, and post-event leveraging vendors and resources when needed.
- Handle short- and long-term planning and proactive management and prioritization of timelines and priorities to ensure flawless execution, quality of service, and timely delivery of all necessary components and materials for each event.
- Manage all event logistics including negotiating contracts with vendors; maintain clear event expense tracking.
- Monitor marketplace and industry trends and incorporate knowledge in program ideation and planning.
- Effectively engage with and manage all event support roles, resources and partnerships internally and externally.
- Develop internal, self-service framework and resources for other teams to reference to independently host internal events or small advisor-led events.
- Define event metrics and collect/interpret data to track ROI, report on results and spend, and offer recommendation for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience in corporate event planning or in a similar function.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, quick response environment with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting and speaking to executive management and large audiences.
- Excellent project management, leadership and collaboration skills.
- Superior multi-tasking skills with the ability to quickly change focus and balance the needs of the moment with longer-term goals.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
