Requirements
We are seeking a dedicated individual eager to join a team to serve a diverse client population. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor or Associate degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, or a related field. Experience working with clients involved in the criminal justice system, individuals facing mental health challenges, or dealing with addiction is highly valued. Relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree. Previous incarceration experience is a strong advantage. A clean driver's license is mandatory, and the ability to pass clearance for entry into the Monroe County jail is required. This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week, with a benefits package.
Duties
- Manage a caseload, providing direct case management services.
- Assist clients in addressing various challenges related to benefits, employment, housing, childcare, healthcare, identification, and other vital supports to facilitate their success.
- Cultivate and maintain positive professional relationships with staff external to the agency such as treatment centers and attorneys.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records.
- Initiative to support other staff and undertake additional assigned tasks as needed.
