About the Role :
Align Furniture Services (AFS) provides delivery and installation services in the fast-paced commercial furniture industry. The Installation Specialist proves integral to the functioning of AFS as they ensure that all product arrives to and from the warehouse damage free. Along with being trusted to deliver product they coordinate field crews and communicate with clients to manage commercial installations and deliveries from start to finish.
Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Serve as the main point of contact for the CRI and client teams on job sites in the field.
- Responsible for transporting installation products to and from worksites. Conducts pre & post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying damage received by AFS' trucks. Must adhere to all state and local traffic laws as well as the Department of Transportation's compliance requirements.
- Follow installation plans and job scope detailed in work orders.
- Draft change orders when performing work not included in the scope and obtaining client signatures.
- Organize and manage all crew onsite for optimal completion of projects.
- Communicate any damage or issues to the CRI and client teams. This includes a detailed description, line item, quantity, part information, floor / workstation location, and photos of issues and product sticker.
- Send daily updates via email to AFS and client teams for ongoing projects, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress.
- Photograph all deliveries / pick-ups to email to CRI and client teams.
- Loads and unloads trucks with the AFS crewmembers daily, which includes carrying merchandise up and down stairs, contributing to the orderly inventory management of equipment and materials.
- Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of products, which includes carrying merchandise up and down stairs.
- Collaborate with CRI team to anticipate / plan for project challenges and solve outstanding issues.
- Provide product knowledge so that CRI team can create accurate quotes.
- Mentor and train new field crew members.
- Provides post installation cleaning which includes wiping down product, vacuuming, and tidying the work area as pertaining to the project.
