You will have the opportunity to join & lead a small, short-term engineering project. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will learn ceramic product manufacturing through studying material properties, iso-static pressing, green forming, sintering, diamond grinding, and critical cleaning and will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities: (Overview of project/work)
- Use strategic thinking to approach problems and create solutions
- Present recommendations to management regarding manufacturing improvements based on data collected on production floor
- Charter a project, develop a documentation plan & perform statistical analysis with assistance from a Sr. Engineer
- Update manufacturing and plant prints using CAD software
- Make recommendations to management regarding manufacturing improvements based on data collected on production floor
- Meet with cross-functional team and set up traceability plan for critical process
- Communicate findings and project status clearly and professionally through presentations
Education:
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree engineering program.
- Mechanical, Ceramics, Materials Engineering degree preferred. (Year Preference, e.g., Junior, Senior)
- Interest and/or coursework in Engineering or Material Science.
- Problem-solving: Analyze complex problems, identify potential solutions, and implement effective strategies to address issues that arise in the course of their work.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other team members, providing and receiving feedback, and contributing to team goals and objectives.
- Data analysis: Analyze and interpret data related to their field of study, with assistance from Sr. Engineer, using statistical methods and software to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Proficiency or experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Quality control and assurance
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving
- Material science and selection familiarity is a plus
- Statistical process control
- Technical writing and documentation
