Job Description:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with area dealerships to establish and grow indirect lending channels.
- Promote the Credit Unions loan services and financial products within the dealer/retail network.
- Identify opportunities to improve or enhance existing Credit Union programs.
- Research and develop plans to introduce new market areas and product types to the dealer/retail network.
- Train dealership finance teams and Credit Union staff on program requirements and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between the Credit Union and the dealer/retail network to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and report monthly dealer/retail network activity, providing explanations for any deviations from plans.
- Underwrite loans as needed to support daily operations, within authorized loan limits.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements and maintain high-quality service standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the department.
Job Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of related experience in a similar role.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships through frequent interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Skilled in resolving first-level conflicts and soliciting cooperation to achieve shared goals.
- Experienced in handling sensitive discussions requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex conversations using diplomacy and tact as much of the communication will take place with dealerships in an effort to solicit additional business and relationships.
