Job Description:
- Customize third-party software to meet the organizations information and system needs.
- Gather data and assess users' information, reporting, and system requirements.
- Analyze business functions and management information needs to identify and implement programming solutions.
- Review, enhance, and tailor existing programs to improve efficiency or adapt to changing requirements.
- Perform complex analytical tasks such as designing, documenting, debugging, and coding program logic.
- Prepare test data, analyze results, and specify data control procedures for modified programs.
- Ensure adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures in all actions.
- Maintain system integrity and optimize performance.
- Keep thorough and up-to-date documentation on systems and changes.
- Respond promptly to user requests, concerns, and suggestions.
- Provide user support, training, and assistance to ensure programs meet requirements and deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with users regarding issues, project status, and deadlines.
- Act as a consultant and resource for system users, offering guidance as needed.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with management and area staff.
- Keep management informed of significant issues, progress toward objectives, and future needs.
- Provide recommendations for new programs, equipment needs, and procedural improvements.
- Assist and support IT personnel as required.
- Prepare reports on programming activities, documenting changes and their impacts.
- Participate in meetings and committees as needed.
- Stay informed on developments in information and computer technology.
- Ensure the work area remains clean, secure, and well-maintained.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of similar or related experience.
- 2 years or more of programming/coding experience.
- 2 years or more of Symitar related experience.
- 2 years or more of field related troubleshooting, analysis, and repair (active directory, servers, applications, workstations, etc.).
Preferred Education:
(1) Bachelors Degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelors degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
