The Group Facilitator supports individuals by facilitating connections, promoting treatment, and delivering an evidence-based curriculum tailored to the group’s need. The Group Facilitator also adheres to HIPAA and the ACA Code of Ethics.
Essential Job Duties:
- Lead members through group utilizing active listening skills demonstrated through verbal and non-verbal communication and acknowledgement.
- Utilize time management skills to prepare effectively for group sessions.
- Complete regular check-ins with teams to maintain clear communication on member participation or concerns.
- Track engagement levels, attendance, and feedback from members.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with leadership regarding group progress and updates.
- Accurately document group activities, member participation, and sessions daily.
- Assist in setting up transportation or working with treatment team to ensure members will be present for the group.
- Maintain referral list and connect with members to discuss interests in group.
- Work closely with clinical teams to ensure groups align with each member's treatment plan.
- Develop and implement lesson plans in a group setting using evidence/curriculum-based approach.
- Complete weekly inventory checklist to ensure all supplies are available and well stocked
- Completes all clinical documentation in a timely manner in accordance with policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
- Adherence to all agency policies, licensure, and training requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma/GED and 1 year of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience in facilitating groups.
- Experience working with multicultural and low socio-economic populations.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- Must meet Copa’s authorized driver requirements, including a valid AZ driver’s license, a 39-month MVR, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration, if applicable.
- TB test clearance required upon hire.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
