We want to supplement a historically subjective system of measuring an athlete’s skill and potential with a robust statistical data center that evaluates objective gameplay metrics.

The COPA Score is a composite score resulting from our advanced technologies assessing key technical, physical and cognitive abilities under standardized conditions. About The Position :
The Talent Identification - Assessment Coach role at COPA is a part time role. We are seeking individuals with a passion for sports, science and being a part of something revolutionary that is going to change the game. The role requires 3-4 days of availability per week, offers competitive compensation, on-site training, free facility access, internal career pathways throughout our many other divisions – player development & coaching, data science, business development, marketing and social media, plus others.
The role also involves coaching COPA’s youth training sessions. Working at COPA STC is unlike any coaching position in the world. Using innovative technologies and cutting-edge sports science, we create a unique training environment that requires coaches to think outside the box and constantly be searching for best practices to drive player development. Coaches will work within the COPA methodology and curriculum to deliver impactful private and small-group training sessions to a wide range of athletes, from world class players to young players being introduced to the game for the first time.

COPA Cube – A 360-degree training environment designed to train an athlete’s awareness, speed of play, first touch and ball control, and passing accuracy. This is the only device of it's kind in North America.
SpeedLab – leveraging innovative technology, which assess an athlete’s acceleration, speed, agility, reaction time, and force producing capabilities.
Vienna Test System – A computer-based cognitive assessment tool that tests executive functions, reaction time, and stress tolerance.
SonicBone Skeletal Age Testing - To truly identify and develop talent we must acknowledge that every player grows at different rates. This device objectives assesses where a player is at in their physical growth.
Role Details :
- 15-20 hours per week
- Primary responsibilities will be to deliver the COPA Score assessment protocol to aspiring athletes in a controlled and standardized testing environment and deliver high quality soccer training sessions for COPA's youth membership athletes.
- Additional weekly responsibilities may include but not limited to :
- Team Testing Events
- On site and Off site activation for the COPA Score
- Data management
