Description
Cope Plastics, Inc. is seeking a motivated and customer solutions oriented individual to join our dynamic team of purchasing professionals. Our purchasing team is critical to ensuring that our customers continue to receive the best service and solutions possible. The Buyer will partner with other departments to source and purchase materials and services.

Essential Functions:
- Maintains and updates vendor prices, reviews requisitions and searches materials and services from approved sources.
- Maintains relationships with Tier I suppliers and analyzes supplier performance resolving issues as they arise.
- Negotiates with potential suppliers, determines appropriate methods of procurement and upon approval, issues purchase orders.
- Resolves purchase order discrepancies and reports unsettled issues to Director of Finance.

Qualifications
Education: Requires a HS Diploma or GED a minimum of two years college education or equivalent capabilities; additional specialized training in negotiating a plus.
Experience: Requires a minimum of two years purchasing experience.
Salary : $58,000 - $73,000
