The Sales Associate at Copeland’s Rural Supply is the front-line of our store, responsible for cashier duties, providing top-notch customer service, and maintaining an orderly shopping environment. You’ll collaborate with fellow team members to ensure every customer feels valued and has a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Cashier & Customer Interaction:
- Efficiently operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process cash and card transactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Greet customers warmly upon entry and express appreciation when they leave.
- Clear customer checkout lines quickly and effectively, ensuring a smooth flow.
- Customer Service & Sales Support:
- Listen to customer needs, offer relevant solutions, and provide knowledgeable guidance on product selection and location.
- Respond promptly and courteously to phone calls, transferring or taking messages when needed.
- Stay up-to-date on store promotions, policies, and product details.
- Store Maintenance & Merchandising:
- Keep the checkout area and storefront clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
- Assist with restocking shelves, setting up displays, and arranging merchandise in an attractive manner.
- Monitor product levels and communicate with the management team when inventory runs low.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other Sales Associates and department leads to maintain a cohesive, supportive work environment.
- Communicate effectively to ensure seamless operations and a positive customer experience.
- Demonstrate flexibility in taking on additional tasks and helping out where needed.
- Professional Representation:
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the values of Copeland’s Rural Supply.
- Uphold store standards, rules, and regulations at all times.

- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items (up to 30–40 lbs.) during shifts.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
