If you are an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, Copeland has an opportunity for you! Based out of Ava MO, you will work with the production engineering team to meet and improve operational requirements by providing the highest levels of, process efficiency, and reliability in a CNC-driven, high-volume, scroll, and component manufacturing environment. Develop and prove out CNC programs to support New Product Development programs. Interact and support scroll and component production, product quality, and other cross-functional departments daily. Implement continuous improvement projects passionate about safety, quality, cost, and capital improvements.
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, You Will:
- Build and maintain scroll and component machining process documentation
- Develop/implement process improvements & cost reductions
- Comprehend, modify, and manage CNC programs
- Lead and participate in cost reduction teams and capital planning
- Establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with partners and stakeholders both internal and external to Scroll and Component machining.
- Evaluate and improve current manufacturing methods and equipment to improve safety, quality, cost and output, identifying opportunities to automate where practical.
- Develop and implement plans, to ensure NPD and engineering change schedules, and objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and procedures to ensure product quality control.
- Ensure equipment, tooling processes, and procedures are in place to meet output capacity and capability objectives.
Schedule:
The typical work schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The position is on-call as issues arise with customers or within the facility.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- A.S. Degree in a technical field plus five (5) years of related experience in CNC programming, machining methods, controls, and processes
- Strong interpersonal skills in communication, analytics, and problem-solving
- Good interpersonal, presentation, and project management skills to interact within all levels of the company
- Practical computing skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to run numerous projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with seven (7) years of related CNC experience
- Confirmed history of optimally supporting and executing technical projects in a high-volume machining environment
- Hands-on experience utilizing lean manufacturing problem-solving techniques
- An intimate understanding of the technology utilized in scroll processes including hardware, software, and automation systems
