Job Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse team members at a remote warehouse and warehouse-affiliated docks at the main facility. May assist alongside workers as needed. This opportunity is for a split shift working from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday with overtime required to cover other Team Leader and Warehouse Manager’s scheduled time off.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Oversees all warehouse’s hourly personnel and their daily assignments.
· Monitor the warehouse and its personnel for all safety concerns and corrections.
· Perform safety meetings and ensure all required documentation has been completed and turn in a timely manner.
· Actively participate in all required Velocity inspections and observations in safety investigations.
· Consults with stakeholders on shipping and receiving priority and other activities requiring coordination.
· Communicate with the Assembly team to help eliminate production downtime due to warehousing support.
· Monitor, track and issue corrective actions associated with daily attendance for the assigned team members.
· Issue performance corrective actions in a timely manner.
· Complete 60- and 90-days performance updates for all new warehouse team members.
· Use Workday to request bids, new hires and move hourly personnel.
· Actively engage in Peakon survey action plans to improve survey scores.
· Request Oracle access and any other required work aids for newly assigned employees.
· Actively monitor all past due orders to assist in getting the customers orders sent out in a timely manner.
· Mentor your hourly team members by providing information on what the company offers in the form of additional benefits.
· Operates within a Continuous Improvement mindset, suggesting improvement and efficiencies to the operation and to the warehouse’s work environment.
· Supports team members with workplace policy and practices questions; makes recommendations on workplace behavior accountability.
· Positively engage in communications between shifts.
· Completes recordkeeping requirements in a timely manner.
· Drives employee engagement in all activities including promoting our safety culture.
· Partners with others to ensure training of new associates are successful.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Two (2) years of experience in a high-volume warehouse operation
· Proven experience with materials processing and shipping/receiving activities
· Proficient with Microsoft Office
· Proficient in Decision Quality competency within a multi-tasking environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee would be required to: sit at desk and working on computer; navigate warehouse and inventory areas to access components; have visual acuity to properly inspect and discern prints and components; have manual dexterity to handle components; lift up to 35 pounds at a time.
