If you are an Automation Technician looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an opening for you! We are seeking a skilled technician with experience in Robotics and Automation for a position with Copeland’s Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Technical Services Group. This position, based at our Ava MO campus, will focus on implementing automated machining technologies and processes that support global strategic manufacturing initiatives. This position will be primarily responsible for projects that automate and optimize existing processes within our manufacturing facilities.
As an Advanced Manufacturing Technician for this position, you will:
- Program industrial robotic systems as required to support the automation and Optimization of existing processes.
- Program and troubleshoot Machine Vision applications.
- Support continuous improvements of automated manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical diagnostic services for robotic mechanical and servo control systems.
- Maintain technical expertise through educational training, researching professional publications, and building associated manufacturing networks.
- Organically develop and grow diverse and cross-functional technicians.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or four-plus years of related technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated competence and experience in robotics systems operation, troubleshooting, and programming.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, and Excel)
- Readily takes on challenges without excessive oversight.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15 - 20% of the time both domestic and foreign.
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Robotics/Machine Vision/PLC/HMI, controls systems and networking.
- Fanuc Robotic experience
- Development of robot applications through simulation software
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent
