Engineering Co-op Opportunity at Copeland Motors
Copeland Motors is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Co-op to provide technical support within our engineering laboratories. This role will collaborate closely with the Copeland Motors engineering team across multiple disciplines, contributing to a variety of technical initiatives. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, materials engineering, rapid prototyping, competitive benchmarking, and test systems/instrumentation support. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers on diverse technical projects, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving, self-motivation, and a strong passion for the technical intricacies of electric motor systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist reliability engineering efforts through hands-on product assessments and detailed evaluations of electric motor performance and durability.
Support the materials engineering team by conducting component qualification testing and assisting in the assembly and disassembly of refrigeration test vessels for extraction analysis.
Aid in troubleshooting legacy test systems, including reviewing electrical schematics, fabricating PCB controller boards, and utilizing precision electrical instrumentation for dynamometer operations.
Provide comprehensive support for all engineering laboratory engineering work orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
Qualifications:
