What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Customer Service Support Technician II position at Coperion Corporation?
Your Purpose:
As the Service Technician, you will primarily be responsible for the technical service, training, and commissioning of Unifiller equipment at the Customer site. The Service Technician must be able to tackle assignments with minimal supervision.
What you’ll be doing:
Do on-site installations, service, and training primarily in North America
Visit customers in the area of service calls to ensure maximized customer care
Manage customer expectations and maintain rapport with customers while examining complaints and identifying solutions
Provide technical support on custom products with customers
Document and provide detailed daily Trip Reports
Service trip preparation and coordinating travel plans with the Customer Care Administrator
International travel upon request
Assess potential sales opportunities at Customers’ site; suggest improved methods and techniques; recommend system improvements
Exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service
Carries out other duties as assigned
What your qualifications are:
You have Electrical and/or Electronics Trade Qualifications and/or background with a minimum of 3 years of field experience.
You have experience with Allen Bradley and other PLC control systems and HMI panel screens
You can solve problems independently and make improvement recommendations
You are experienced with Device Net/CanBUS/Ethernet industrial networks
You are familiar with a broad range of brand name control system components and their application
You are proficient with MS Office, with excellence in Word and MS Project
You can interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures
You are available to travel at least 50% of the time. Must have a valid Passport for international travel and a valid driver’s License
You can speak a second language
