Coperion is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team! As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in leveraging deep knowledge of the local market to identify strategic opportunities, guide sales managers, and aid in the sales process. By staying up to date of market trends and competitive dynamics, the Business Development Manager will ensure that Coperion’s offerings are aligned with local needs and positioned for success. Additionally, the Business Development Manager is responsible for driving innovation and maintaining a forward-thinking approach to business development, contributing significantly to the overall success and competitiveness of the Coperion FHN division.

Work You’ll Do

  • Strategically build and expand Coperion’s presence within the Americas market.
  • Understand local market requirements, cultural nuances, and preferences.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies in conjunction with the BD Manager responsible for global strategy implementation.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the Americas.
  • Provide deep market expertise to identify strategic opportunities for sales managers.
  • Guide and support sales managers in the sales process, pointing them to concrete opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to stay up-to-date of trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Marketing & Product, and R&D, to align strategies and initiatives.
  • Facilitate and manage business reviews, define strategic initiatives, and develop business plans to meet growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in business development processes.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and outcomes.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Coperion’s offerings and build market connections.

Team

The Business Development Manager will primarily collaborate with the sales teams, key account managers, and business leadership, but will also work closely with other departments, including Strategic Marketing and Product, R&D, and Operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to business growth and customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience in business development in the Americas market, preferably within the food or pharma industry related to bulk solids handling and processing.
  • Fluent in English language and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
  • Proven experience in defining and implementing go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong understanding of local market standards, trends, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
