What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechancial Assembler position at Coperion?
Coperion is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler - Custom Machine Assembly to support our location in Whitewater, WI. This is not a standard production assembly line position. You will be building different equipment each day. There is a lot of room for growth into other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, very clean production floor and great people to work with!
Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon

Responsibilities
- Develop a working knowledge of Coperion products, parts and part numbers, a thorough understanding of safety requirements, and build quality mechanical assemblies using blueprints, schematics and work orders
- Interface with engineers and other manufacturing disciplines within the factory to overcome challenges and meet customer's needs
- Review technical drawings
- Operate machines, tooling equipment, fork truck, and overhead cranes for production and assembly
- Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S
- Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more mechanical aptitude experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, knowledge of blueprint reading
- Ability to multitask
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
- Dependability a must
- Willing to train someone with mechanical aptitude, good work ethic and positive attitude
