Job Description: 

Copia is seeking an experienced Accountant with 3 years of experience to work alongside the Corporate Finance team and all functions at Copia to manage our accounts payable processes, managing key vendors and contracts, identifying budget vs. actual variances, coordinating payments and approvals of invoices, and assisting with GAAP and managerial reporting. 

The Accountant will report directly to the Director, Corporate Finance in an individual contributor capacity. 

Key Responsibilities: 

·         Creation, implementation, and execution of accounts payable processes to manage risk and monitor the health of the processes. 

·         Improve accounts payable processes across the Corporate Finance organization and Copia to streamline the current process. 

·         Create tracking processes to ensure payments are made in accordance with contracts and internal payments policy. 

·         Perform wire callbacks to ensure wire instructions are complete and accurate. 

·         Assist in project financing process by pulling project costs and related invoice and lien waiver support. 

·         Ad hoc financial analysis.

·         Knowledge of renewable energy project development, utilities, interconnection, permitting, power markets, and renewable energy technologies.  

·         Knowledge and experience with PowerBI a plus. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

·         3 years professional experience in accounting, finance, or accounts payable,preferably in the renewable energy industry.  

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field. 

·         Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including advancedproficiency in Excel  

·         Ability to work out of the Lake Oswego, OR office a minimum of 3 days per week.  

·         Minimal travel required
