We are hiring substitute paraprofessionals for a top education client to fill immediate openings in Philadelphia and Bucks County.
Both certified substitute paraprofessionals and those with no teaching experience can apply. Our hiring coordinators will guide you through the entire application and onboarding process.
About this role:
A substitute paraprofessional works alongside the classroom teacher to support students with special needs, promoting academic and personal growth. The job involves supplementing regular classroom curriculum and assisting individual students.
Substitute paraprofessionals may also be known as school aides, teacher assistants, instructional aides, one-to-one aides, and personal care assistants.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide additional support to individual students or small groups of students
- Assist the teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
- Support administrative tasks such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
- Supervise students during meals, outdoor activities, specials, in hallways, on field trips, and/or before and after school programs
- Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
- Support students with special needs by following their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
- Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Hourly rate: $10-$17
Salary : $10 - $17
