Copley at Stoughton is a 123-bed, post-acute short-term rehabilitation and long-term healthcare provider practicing an interdisciplinary team approach, catering to each individuals' specific needs and goals.
Since 1994, our mission is to provide excellent, individualized nursing and rehabilitation services to long-term residents and short-term guests. As a private, locally owned company, our management team is on-site, giving us the opportunity to assure a clean, safe, family-friendly experience for each and every individual.
We are currently seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to join our team.
Activities Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the Activities Director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs, maintaining a flexible structure with alternative plans if activity is not engaging residents.
- Assist in orienting new participants to program structure.
- Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
- Encourage, but not force, participation in recreation groups.
- Observe and report any change in health or mental status of residents to the Activities Director or nursing staff.
- Maintain the resources required for each resident’s activity needs, including safe and proper use/storage of supplies.
- Complete 1:1 visits with those residents who don’t attend group sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Activities Assistant requirements include, but are not limited to:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum one year experience as an Activities Assistant in a long-term care facility or comparable experience preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing
