As a Guide at the Copley Square Hotel in Boston, MA, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Your duties will include managing reservations, checking in and out guests, assisting guests with inquiries, and providing information about the hotel and the local area. You'll also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk, handling payments, and addressing any guest complaints or concerns. We're looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and superior interpersonal and customer service skills. Familiarity with the local area and common computer software programs is a plus. This position requires a willingness to work a 7-day rotational schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities:
- Operate the front desk and assist guests with their needs during their stay.
- Provide exceptional guest service.
- Manage the operations of the front desk, ensuring timely check-in and check-out.
- Warmly welcome guests and process their check-in, confirming reservations and assigning rooms.
- Handle requests in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner
- Investigate and resolve any complaints regarding service or accommodations.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, rates, discounts, special offers, and local events.
- Ensure prompt delivery of billing to guests and process all payment types.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping and Engineering Departments to ensure rooms are ready for guests and to address any requests or concerns.
- Keep the lobby and shared areas clean and organized.
- Adhere to hotel and company standards.
- Maintain strict key control policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
