What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Copper Athletic Club?
A prep cook is responsible for the preparation of ingredients and stations used in the cooking process, as well as maintaining the kitchen and ensuring it is clean and sanitized.
To be a successful prep cook, you should understand and be willing to comply with food and sanitation guidelines and regulations, be quick and diligent, and be willing to improve on the job. A top-notch prep cook should be able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine kitchen tasks.
- Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and
- easily accessible.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables,
- cutting meat, and other meal prep.
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared
- according to recipes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing
- surfaces, and taking out the trash.
- Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
- Comply with sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
