What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scale Operator position at Copper & Gold, LLC?
Copper & Gold, LLC ships large volumes of bulk feed daily by truck. Weighmasters serve a critical part in the shipping of products as they verify information for each load shipped or received. Below are specific skills we have identified as necessary to consistently operate a scale with minimal errors.
Scale Operator Responsibilities:
- Accurately scale trucks in and out.
- Verify customer name, release numbers and product.
- Resolve release number and other pickup information issues with other parties.
- Identify potential issues with cross contamination with prior loads.
- Monitor truck counts inside the facility.
- Check wait times for loading or unloading.
- Assisting with paperwork.
- Managing inventory within software.
- Ordering in and releasing railcars.
Skills and qualifications:
- Microsoft Suite Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
- Professional communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays)
- Hours 6am to 4pm (Hours may vary)
- $18.00 per hour plus benefits.
