Position Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Middle / High School Math Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in instilling a love for mathematics, fostering student independence, incorporating hands-on learning experiences, and embedding career awareness opportunities into mathematics instruction.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education with a focus on mathematics.
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at the Middle and High School levels.
- Strong understanding of Finnish education practices and a commitment to integrating them into daily instruction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for fostering a joy-filled learning environment.
Duties :
Develop and implement engaging and differentiated math lessons aligned with the curriculum and Finnish education principles.
Implement instructional strategies that empower students to take ownership of their learning.
Integrate hands-on and real-world applications into math lessons to enhance understanding and make learning tangible.
Infuse career awareness elements into math lessons to demonstrate the real-world applications of mathematical concepts.
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Establish positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed about student progress and involving them in their child's education.
