Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent in planning and overseeing daily golf course maintenance operations.
- Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Monitor and maintain turfgrass health, irrigation systems, and pest control programs.
- Operate and oversee maintenance of equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Assist in budgeting, inventory management, and procurement of maintenance supplies.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures for maintenance staff and chemical applications.
- Support the execution of agronomic programs, including aeration, fertilization, and topdressing.
- Work closely with the Superintendent to plan and execute course improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and best management practices.
- Communicate with golf professionals, members, and guests regarding course conditions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Knowledge of turfgrass species, irrigation systems, and pest management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Understanding of environmental and safety regulations related to golf course maintenance.
