Position requirements or ability to learn the following:
- Manage the accounting and administrative needs for special district/quasi-governmental organization.
- Complete full charge accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivables, reconciliations, and financial statement prep.
- Preparation of the annual budget, with the assistance of other District staff and with the assistance of other CPA staff.
- Administer all payroll (bi-weekly) and employee benefits.
- Elections – working with the District’s legal counsel to call and conduct elections as requested by the Board.
- Perform work in team-based environment supporting District mission, values, and goals.
- Oversee and direct the Administrative Assistance with tasks & office needs.
- Available to greet and assist visitors in a professional, courteous, and open manner during business hours.
- Strong computer skills (Quickbooks, Microsoft Office, ADP, Adobe, Zoom, etc) and the ability to learn new software.
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills in various formats, such as in person, phone, email, newsletter, and website updates.
- Be reliable, productive, innovative, and self-motivated as necessary to work effectively without close supervision.
- Handle critical, complex, or sensitive departmental and/or public information issues with proper discretion.
- Manage communications, supplies, equipment and calendars.
