COHO Integrated Solutions is seeking an Education and Incentives Counseling Services Support Specialist to play a critical role in supporting the recruitment and retention of Soldiers by providing essential educational counseling and resources. The position focuses on guiding new and current Soldiers through their educational opportunities, ensuring they fully understand and utilize military education benefits. This role requires strong customer service, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to regulations, providing hands-on support to Soldiers as they navigate complex educational processes and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel service members on eligibility and procedures for transferring G.I. Bill benefits to dependents, including required documentation and timelines.
- Assist service members in creating degree plans tailored to individual goals and eligibility.
- Verify eligibility for Federal education benefits under the Montgomery G.I. Bill and produce the Notice of Basic Eligibility (NOBE).
- Manage all G.I. Bill-related tasks using the Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS) to ensure accurate data entry and timely resolution of issues.
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver briefings on educational benefits at events such as in-processing and Yellow Ribbon sessions.
- Produce a weekly report detailing activities, including NOBEs, transcript evaluations, G.I. Bill updates, and briefings.
- Evaluate and enter education level data and category codes in the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A).
- Maintain an inventory of educational resources, ensuring all test prep materials and brochures are updated regularly.
- Act as a liaison between the ARNG and educational institutions, providing guidance on scholarships and educational opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and track relevant decisions.
- Verify the authenticity and accreditation status of educational institutions for service members and assist in acquiring Joint Service Transcripts (JST).
- Serve as the Test Control Officer and administer exams like the AFCT, ASVAB, and CLEP according to applicable standards.
- Order and distribute promotional materials for the ARNG Education Services Office.
- Monitor and update educational materials to reflect current policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations concerning G.I. Bill, TA, and related benefits by conducting quarterly audits and addressing non-compliance.
- Coordinate with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) to ensure service members receive their educational benefits promptly and accurately.
- Conduct outreach activities to promote ARNG educational opportunities at high schools and universities, documenting events and following up.
- Proven experience in educational counseling or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and document management.
- Knowledge of military education benefits, including G.I. Bill, Tuition Assistance (TA), and other related programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with service members, educational institutions, and leadership.
- Ability to maintain compliance with federal regulations and policies.
- Experience in using management systems, such as Guard Incentive Management System (GIMS) or similar tools.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
