What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Care Physician Specialist position at Copper River Native Association?
Responsibilities:
The Physician Medical Director reports directly to the CEO and closely collaborates with the Director of Medical Services, providing direct patient care, oversight of APP and CHA providers, and leadership to the clinical team. Experience in urgent care services is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will provide direct medical care to all age groups, develop personalized treatment plans, coordinate with receiving physicians and hospitals, and maintain accurate and timely documentation in our electronic health record system.
- Assists Medical Services Director in oversight and support of the CHA Director and CHA village clinic operations, consults with village Health Aids on patient care
- Approves and signs off on standing orders for nursing staff and village Health Aids
- Participates in peer review programs; performs quarterly chart reviews and risk management activities
