What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemical Applicator position at Copper Rock Golf Course?
Key responsibilities:
Chemical preparation-
Mixing chemicals according to prescribed formulas to create the correct application solution.
Equipment operation-
Operating specialized application equipment like sprayers, spreaders, or misters to distribute chemicals evenly across targeted areas.
Site assessment-
Inspecting areas to identify pest or weed problems and determine the appropriate chemical treatment needed.
Application execution-
Applying chemicals precisely to designated areas, following safety guidelines and label instructions.
Recordkeeping-
Maintaining detailed records of chemical applications, including dates, locations, chemical types, and application rates.
Equipment maintenance-
Cleaning and properly maintaining application equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination.
Safety compliance-
Adhering to all safety regulations regarding chemical handling, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and proper disposal procedures.
Required skills and qualifications-
State pesticide applicator license or obtain within 90 days.
Knowledge of chemicals:
Understanding the properties, safety concerns, and appropriate application methods for different chemicals.
Equipment operation skills:
Proficiency in operating and maintaining various chemical application and golf course related equipment .
Attention to detail:
Ability to carefully follow application instructions and accurately measure chemicals.
Physical ability:
Capability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and chemical containers.
$20.00 hrly.
