Director of Nursing
We are currently seeking a DIRECTOR OF NURSING (RN) for our beautiful, state of the art 90- bed skilled nursing facility in Rogersville, Missouri. Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, energetic, be a multitasker, a great communicator, and have experience in long term/skilled nursing care, with an understanding of Medicare and Medicaid, and the overall nursing operations of a skilled nursing facility. The DON works hand-in-hand with the Administrator and Assistant Director of Nursing to provide exceptional care to our residents. Copper Rock has a great team of Department Heads to help in coordinating resident care across all departments. Requirements:
- Education: Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the state of Missouri and must maintain a current certification in the state throughout employment.
- Experience: Prefer a minimum three years of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility, hospital or other related health care facility.

This is a management level professional position in the field of nursing supervising employees ranging from Nurse Aides to RN's. Performs highly complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge, its applications to a variety of situations as well as exercise of independent judgment. The employee is responsible for the organization, planning and direction of the entire nursing service in all areas of Copper Rock Healthcare. General supervision is exercised overall professional nursing staff. EOE.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the organization and implementation of programs and policies relating to staff, admissions, maintenance, nursing care and treatment.
- Ensure the center is operating within federal and state regulations.
- Provide operational leadership for all departments of the center including clinical, financial, and administration.
- Assess the center’s performance and prepare annual reports on performance to the Executive Director and state licensure agencies.
