Keeping Spaces Spotless, One Sweep at a Time
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in multiple manufactuing buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial work, with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming warehouse floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Clean offices.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to ensure a hygienic environment for employees.
- Clean production yard.
- Will use a Zamboni type floor scrubber within the buildings.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials in designated areas according to company procedures.
- Monitor waste receptacles and empty them regularly to prevent overflow and maintain cleanliness.
- Ensure that all cleaning activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Maintain janitorial equipment in good working condition by performing routine inspections and cleaning as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage to the supervisor for repair or replacement.
- Keep track of cleaning supplies and equipment inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
- Assist with receiving and stocking cleaning supplies as needed.
- Coordinate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow and support overall warehouse operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to address any cleaning-related concerns or requests.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a janitor or cleaner, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
