Purpose of Role :
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Mine Facility Technician II is responsible for supporting the Copper World, Inc.’s Project Department.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Responsible for Maintenance and upkeep of the Mine’s Active Facilities
Responsible for the Light vehicle maintenance program
Perform routine inspections of mine facilities and infrastructure.
Conduct repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ensure all work meets safety and operational standards.
Execute preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment and systems.
Identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions to avoid downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
Diagnosing and resolving facility-related problems, including mechanical and electrical issues.
Respond promptly to facility breakdowns and emergencies.
Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Participate in safety training and emergency response drills.
Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Work closely with mining operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to support production goals.
Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and systems.
Provide guidance and training to junior technicians or other staff as needed.
Maintain the inventory of tools, parts, and supplies required for facility maintenance.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities, facility conditions, and resource usage.
Update maintenance logs and work order systems accurately.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION :
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in facility maintenance or a related field preferred.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Experience using tools and equipment for facility repair and maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and meet all other requirements of the job.
Capable of working at heights or in confined spaces when required.
Can move over uneven terrain
Positive work ethic
Maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
Possess a valid Driver’s License.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Have reliable personal transportation to the site location (transportation at the site will be in company vehicles)
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Current MSHA.

Employees must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle, including use of eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
