Description : Position Summary :
Professional line cooks prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and set up stations for various menus. Line cook duties will include assisting the executive and sous chef with daily tasks. The line cook will be vital in contributing to our member's satisfaction.
Requirements :
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meats or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Ensure that food is presented simultaneously with other stations in a high-quality and timely fashion.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Clean the station and properly store unused foods at the end of the shift.
- Answer, report, and follow the executive or sous chef’s instructions.
- Stock new inventory appropriately, FIFO.
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by kitchen or other management.
- Regular attendance according to schedule is a requirement of this position.
