Summary:
Housekeeping Team Members are responsible for thorough and outstanding cleanliness of the entire Coppermine Facility, with particular attention to high traffic areas and the operation of the laundry room. The objective is to maintain a spotless appearance through regular, safe, thorough, systematic housekeeping duties seven days a week from open to close. Members of our Care Team must be reliable, ready to learn on the job, able to handle emergencies, willing to help where and when needed, can work efficiently and effectively while being held to the highest customer service practices.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Works directly with the Housekeeping Team to efficiently maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility while continually providing outstanding customer service
- Continually cleans and details the locker room areas during facility hours of operation
- Continually walks through the facility and locker rooms throughout shift to ensure tidiness and cleanliness
- Follows specific cleaning lists/duties as assigned by supervisor, to include but not limited to: cleaning exercise equipment, exercise studios, glass and windows, common spaces, lobby, stairwells, detailed cleaning of locker rooms, emptying of trash throughout shift, replenishing locker rooms and bathrooms with amenities as needed, cleaning or helping in other areas as needed
- Keeps all housekeeping areas clean, neat and organized.
- Keeps all housekeeping equipment secure and in good working order. Reports all broken or non-working equipment to Housekeeping Director. This includes housekeeping equipment as well as exercise equipment
- Collects soiled towels from around the facility and brings them to the laundry to be proceeed
- Processes Laundry and returns clean stock to areas in need
- Reports any unusual activity to Housekeeping Director or MOD
- Arrives to work in time to prepare for scheduled shift
- Follows all Coppermine Policies and Procedures
- Can work with minimal supervision
- Through outstanding customer service can clean equipment and areas without disturbing members
- Continually watches for the safety of members and guests
Responsibilities
- Performs the Essential Functions and Responsibilities as described (other duties may be assigned)
- Responds to emergencies as needed and follows all codes
- Becomes CPR/AED certified and keeps the certification up to date while employed
- If unable to work, for any reason ex. illness, vacation etc., proactively seeks substitutes for shifts and immediately informs Housekeeping Director of the substitution
- Attends all departmental meetings and other meetings as requested
- Helps with member magic or events outside of the department
- As requested completes all special project cleaning either on their own or with the care team
- Reads, signs, and abides by the policies included in the Coppermine handbook
- Wears the proper Coppermine uniform at all times while at work
- Always exhibits a positive attitude and upholds Coppermine’s value of teamwork and customer service.
