CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Summer 2025 Premium Audit Intern. This opportunity will be a fully remote, 12-week, paid internship program that provides students with the opportunity to gain corporate experience, get a first-hand look at the day-to-day operations of a Super Regional Insurance Company, and prepare students with the experience needed to have a rewarding career at CopperPoint.
The Operations Department is looking for students seeking meaningful work experience as they tackle complex challenges unique to the insurance industry. This internship role aims to provide an integrative program that allows students to make meaningful contributions to the department and to walk away with a meaningful experience.
The primary purpose of this position is to partner with our Premium Audit Support Resolution Specialist to review and handle audit disputes, work with insurance rating bureaus, e.g., California and NCCI, review final audits, complete and process revised final audits in our audit and underwriting system.

- Learning how premium audit fits within the insurance industry and applying that knowledge to assigned tasks.
- Partnering with the Premium Audit Resolution Support Specialist on handling disputed audits, working with insurance rating bureaus (California and NCCI)
- Helping to answer inquiries regarding status requests, billing issues, and miscellaneous audit-related questions.
- Providing administrative support to the communication and handling of premium audits.
- Addition/Ad-hoc assistance as needed by the team.
- A current college undergraduate.
- Proficient in Microsoft® Office tools and related software.
- Strong analytical skills with a comfortable in data and reviewing sensitive information.
- Good Interpersonal skills to quickly develop trust, credibility, and respect from all levels of staff.
- Excellent customer engagement/service skills – both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
- Interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry post-graduation.
