Copperweld is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager with experience in a manufacturing environment. This role will support the Program Management Officer in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to excellence.
WHAT we need you to do.
- Develop project plans, schedules, estimates, and reports.
- Communicate with vendors and stakeholders regarding project goals and deliverables.
- Contribute to the planning and development of multiple projects.
- Liaise with project lead to maintain scope, budget, and schedule for multiple projects.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings or other events as needed.
- Contribute to project reporting on functional status and availability of deliverable needs.
- Be a collaborative leader, capable of driving internal & external stakeholders to consensus while balancing internal projects needs with longer-term relationship objective.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT you need to possess.
- Bachelor’s degree in Bachelors of Science or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), Smartsheet, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data effectively to various stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with teams.
