Accountant

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking an Accountant to join our team. Primary duty includes the performance of work directly related to the business operations and the exercising of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance. Responsibilities may include monitoring purchases compared to the budget, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, capital expenditures/equipment. Reconciliation of all cash accounts and monitoring of cash receipts and disbursements. Responsible for the preparation of financial statements.

Position Specifics:
• Schedule: Full time, 40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday
• Location: Hybrid in Springfield, IL, 2 days on site/3 days remote

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.

• Previous accounting experience is preferred.
