A Day in the Life of a Physiotherapy Assistant at CORA
As a Physiotherapy Assistant at CORA, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. Your day will be filled with assisting therapists with treatment procedures, preparing treatment areas, and interacting with patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
• Assist therapists with treatment procedures in accordance with clinic policies and as permitted by state practice act
• Set up, prepare, and administer modalities for patient treatment as outlined by the therapist, and according to clinic standard of treatment
• Correctly and courteously position patients for treatment procedures
• Verbally report significant information or changes in a patient's condition to the appropriate therapist immediately
• Maintain water level daily in hydrocollator and clean hydrocollator according to infection control policies and procedures
• Perform reception duties as needed, answer the telephone politely, assist caller or direct calls to the requested person
• Greet all patients in a courteous manner, notify therapist of their arrival, and initiate treatment procedures upon the advice of the therapist
