General Purpose: The Controller at the Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the club, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the management team with financial insights, reporting and training. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and managing a diverse team to provide a seamless and luxurious experience. This role will manage budgeting, financial planning, audits, and internal controls while working closely with department heads and 3rd party partners to optimize operational efficiency and financial performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
¨ Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
¨ Responsible for creating weekly, monthly and annual financial reports for General Manager and ownership.
¨ Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financials.
¨ Monitor and advise on best practices regarding Cost of Goods Sold for Food, Beverage and Merchandise sales.
¨ Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
¨ Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax filings, and internal controls.
¨ Manage cash flow and financial planning to maintain the club’s financial health.
¨ Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and identify areas for cost savings.
¨ Work closely with the General Manager and department heads to monitor financial performance and implement strategic initiatives.
¨ Lead annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
¨ Maintain financial records and systems in accordance with industry’s best practices and accounting principles.
¨ Implement and monitor financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
¨ Provide guidance and leadership to finance staff and ensure proper training and professional development.
¨ Develop and implement strategies for financial growth and stability.
¨ Monitor and manage club financial risk, including evaluating insurance coverage and investment opportunities.
¨ Oversee financial contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms for the club.
¨ Ensure compliance with membership billing, dues, and financial obligations.
¨ Assist in strategic planning by providing financial insights and recommendations to the executive team.
¨ Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls.
¨ Act as club liaison to the property management and accounting software.
¨ Lead education efforts with department leaders and management team to train on best practices and facilitate
¨ Assist with financial planning, invoice submission and budgeting for all capital and renovation projects.
¨ Collaborate with department leaders to assess financial impact and feasibility of capital improvement projects.
¨ Act as liaison between any current or future third party operational partners.
¨ Drive operational effectiveness through the implementation of standard operating procedures in line with the requirements as laid out by the General Manager.
¨ Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
¨ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
¨ Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance leadership experience, preferably in the hospitality and/ or club industry.
¨ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
¨ Experience with accounting software and financial management systems (preferably property management or club management systems)
¨ Experience working with club operations or hospitality businesses is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
