We are currently in search of an experienced and dedicated Chief Engineer to oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of owner units, common areas, and central systems such as water, air conditioning, and electrical at our Lahaina Shores Beach Resort property, located in the heart of historic Lahaina town. The Lahaina fires had caused extensive damage to homes, businesses, our property, and historical sites. The reconstruction efforts included rebuilding the resort, restoring damaged infrastructure, renewing common areas, and revitalizing the owner’s condo units.

The Chief Engineer will work closely with the Association Manager and the Board of Directors to implement strategic plans and ensure the long-term success of the association. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for this role.T he Chief Engineer is responsible for maintaining individual units and public areas in good physical repair and aesthetically pleasing quality. The engineer ensures maximum profitability while using resort standards for efficient use of equipment, tools, and ordering supplies.
The Chief Engineer will be required to coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver projects according to plan. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications
- The minimum educational requirement for the position is an associate degree (two-year university or beyond secondary level) or equivalent.
- A minimum of five or more years as a Chief Engineer supervisory engineer in a major first-class hotel or one or more years as an Assistant Chief Engineer in a similar hotel are considered.
- Prefer at least a year of hospitality industry experience, supervisory level, or technical engineering staff.
- Knowledge of significant trade functions in most hotels includes carpentry, cabinet making, furniture finishing, upholstery, plumbing, pipe fitting, electricity, masonry, lather, and other trades. The role requires forecasting and budgeting, departmental profit and loss analysis, strategic planning, five-year plans, and decision-making processes.
- Ability to understand plans, specifications, other technical documentation, building security, locks and hardware ground recreational facilities management, pest control (including insects, rodents, cats, etc.), and sanitation.
- Experience with OSHA requirements in safety, lock-out/tag-out, and use of MSDS sheets, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety training.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
