Job Summary
Coach, train, and oversee front desk to ensure the front office operation runs smoothly; warmly and enthusiastically greet arriving and departing guests and assist them with check ins and check outs to ensure they are comfortable and feel welcome while also providing all necessary information to create guest satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically welcome our guests, anticipate their needs, assist them with check in and check out, and respond promptly with your personal spirit, however busy and whatever time of day
- Oversee Front Desk Agents, and direct them through their day when necessary
- Assign tasks to Front Desk Agents, oversee and ensure completion of work at the Front Desk
- Ensure the Front Desk is always running smoothly during shift, act as the Manager on Duty when no other manager is present.
- Assist in training and coaching employees to ensure all new and old employees are comfortable and understanding of all policies and procedures
- Assist in helping Front Desk Agents when they need supervision
- Assist Front Desk Agents when an adjustment is necessary
- Concierge and providing directions, restaurant recommendations, and reservations
- Working both as a member of a team and individually
- Assist as needed with deliveries, transportation needs, and luggage assistance
- Flexible scheduling (holidays, weekends, days, nights, etc.)
- Enjoy being very detail oriented while working at a fast pace
- Utilize the freedom to go beyond to take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty
- Create memorable experiences with a fantastic, welcoming personality that can relate to guests & associates
- Multi-task with an impeccable eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are being met
- Share your personal passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home
- Any other tasks assigned by a manager
- Able to coach and train employees to gain knowledge of all policies and procedures of the front office. Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Attention to detail, technical skills, ease of learning new tasks, flexibility, being proficient in a fast-paced environment, and able to make connections with both guests and colleagues.
- Smile and greet every guest especially when they’re in proximity.
- Provide quick and efficient service.
- Remember guest names and use them often in interactions.
- Offer assistance and provide options to guests.
- Emphasize creating a positive guest experience and building lasting connections by thanking guests and inviting them back.
Outdoor and Physical Responsibilities:
- Parking Lot Maintenance: Once daily, chains off the arrival parking spots to ensure the lot is properly organized. This may involve moving or adjusting the chains.
- Lockbox Management: Pick up lockboxes for late arrivals and place them in a secure location. On nights when lockboxes are used, ensure they are in place for the following day’s arrivals.
- Weather Appropriate Attire: For any outdoor tasks, it is encouraged that agents wear weather-appropriate clothing, including shoes suitable for the conditions.
Item Pickup and Delivery:
- Item Pickup/Drop-Off: On occasion, agents are required to pick up or drop off items to other properties managed by CoralTree.
- Mail Handling: When picking up mail from USPS, agents may need to transport packages of varying sizes. It is important to be able to lift and carry boxes safely.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to Lift and Carry Boxes: As part of the job, agents will need to be able to lift and carry packages, boxes, and other items as necessary up to 50 pounds. These tasks are essential to maintaining the smooth flow of operations and are not considered physically demanding but are important for the role.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time. The associate is occasionally required to climb stairs and the hill and use balance. Additionally, the associate will frequently be asked to use hands and arms to reach, carry, and lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous supervision experience preferred
- Previous experience in a high pace- high volume environment
- Previous experience in an upscale hotel/resort or similar setting
- Foreign language knowledge is a plus
- Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
- Provide legible communication and directions
- Knowledge of surrounding area (Snowmass, Aspen, Basalt, Glenwood Springs)
- Hospitality background preferred; customer service background required.
Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly starting pay is $23.00
