We currently have an opportunity for a Housekeeping Fitness Attendant to join our Pier Sixty-Six Club opening team!
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned guest rooms / residential units following hotel standards.
- Review assignments & ensure all special requests & instructions are met.
- Follow the lost & found hotel policies.
- Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked
- Report all discrepancies to appropriate department.
- Remove trash and place in designated area.
- Dust all surfaces including furniture, fixtures, and electronics
- Wipe and sanitize high-touch areas
- Remove soiled bed linens / terry & replace with clean.
- Make the bed according to hotel standards.
- Clean and disinfect toilet, sink, and shower/tub.
- Replace used bathroom toiletries.
- Wipe mirrors and any glass surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets or rugs, sweep and mop hard floors
- Check and replenish room amenities (coffee, tea, minibar items).
- Ensure the in-room safe is functioning and properly secured.
- Arrange furniture neatly
- Adjust the room temperature to the designated level.
- Do a final inspection to ensure everything is clean and in place.
- Close and secure the door properly.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and over 25 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
- Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality management or related field education is a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Proficiency in Alice software is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, as well as requirements and use of equipment is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively or as a part of a team.
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Provide legible communication.
- Physical mobility and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
