The Senior Vice President, Design & Development Services will lead the strategic vision, planning, and execution of design and development services across CoralTree Hospitality’s portfolio. This executive will work closely with ownership groups, brand partners, and internal teams to ensure that all development initiatives align with CoralTree’s brand standards, guest experience goals, and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in hospitality programming, design and architecture, construction management, and project development, with a strong ability to balance creativity, functionality, and financial feasibility.

Compensation: $210,000 - 250,000/yr.
Location: This position is based in our home office in Englewood, CO.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the design and development strategy to support CoralTree’s growth and asset optimization. Ensure alignment with brand identity, operational goals, and market trends.
- Work with ownership teams and property teams on all aspects of new builds, renovations, and capital projects from concept through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Partner with property owners, investors, architects, designers, and contractors to drive project success. Act as the primary liaison between CoralTree and external partners.
- Ability to create and negotiate agreements for department services as well as review and advise owners on construction and consulting agreements.
- Establish and maintain design and development guidelines that enhance CoralTree’s brand identity while maximizing guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Advise on project budgets, cost estimates, and financial feasibility studies. Mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and brand standards.
- Implement sustainable design and construction practices that align with CoralTree’s commitment to environmental responsibility and innovation.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of development and design professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
- 15 years of experience in hospitality design, architecture and construction management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field. Advanced Degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale hotel development and renovation projects.
- Deep understanding of hotel positioning, design, construction methodologies, and project financing.
- Strong network within the hospitality design and development community.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and LEED certification is a plus.
