About the Role:
As a Dispensing LPN, your main responsibility will be to provide medication administration and support to patients in a healthcare setting. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the correct medications and dosages as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in the state of employment.
- Completion of an accredited LPN program.
- Experience in medication administration and knowledge of common medications and their effects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a dispensing role or similar healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language.
- Certification in medication administration or related field.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records, including documentation of administration and any changes in medication orders.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management and adherence to treatment plans.
- Assist in the inventory management of medications, including ordering, receiving, and restocking supplies.
