Established mid-size law firm in Pleasant Valley seeks an Associate Attorney to help with a high volume of litigation cases. A successful candidate will have a strong background in general civil litigation, with the ability to manage cases and provide strategic legal counsel to clients. This role requires excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Associate Attorney Duties and Responsibilities
· Conduct initial consultations with potential clients
· Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings
· Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions, issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents
· Negotiate settlements
· Perform legal research
· Attend court appearances
· Conduct trials
Associate Attorney Requirements and Qualifications
· Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
· Admission to New York State Bar in good standing.
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience.
· Strong litigation experience with a proven track record of managing cases independently.
· Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues and court staff.
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
· Commitment to ethical practice and the highest standards of professionalism.
