What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Cable Technician position at Corban Communications & Security?
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with low voltage systems
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on low voltage systems
- Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to ensure proper installation and functionality of low voltage systems
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on low voltage systems
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or training in electrical or low voltage systems preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles and low voltage systems
- Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy equipment or working in confined spaces
- DCJS license preferred
