The Human Resources department is responsible for developing and executing programs that support and retain employees, attract top talent, and offer employee development opportunities. This internship will provide an opportunity to work in each of these key areas, with a particular emphasis on international expansion and educating employees on our performance management processes.
Responsibilities:
- Identify efficiencies for various HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR practices, policies, procedures, and the overall employee experience
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, events, and recognition programs to foster a positive company culture
- Contribute to intra- and inter-departmental projects, including change management for our global growth and performance management
- Maintain partnerships with cross-functional departments in various therapeutic areas (Endocrinology, Oncology, etc.), finance/accounting, emerging markets, marketing, etc.
- Deliver a department presentation at the end of the program
- Participate as a member of 2025 intern team group project that includes a company-wide presentation
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Familiarity with basic software and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute to team projects and goals
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work on multiple priority assignments simultaneously and manage project timelines and budgets
- Must be able to complete at least 10 consecutive weeks between June and August and it is a full-time internship (40 hours per week)
- Must be able to work at our Redwood City office for the duration of the internship, no relocation available
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completed or in-progress degree in business-related field (ie, human resources)
- Prior work experience in collaborative team environment
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $25/hr - $31/hr; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
