What are the responsibilities and job description for the Key Accounts Manager, South position at Corcept Therapeutics?
The Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for developing and executing an ethical strategy to drive disease awareness and enhance partnerships between Corcept and pre-specified tertiary centers specializing in the management of cardio-metabolic diseases and/or hypercortisolism/Cushing syndrome (CS). Target physicians within these accounts would include but are not limited to, endocrinologists, neurosurgeons, endocrine surgeons, and interventional radiologists. Other key staff involved with the management and care of patients suffering from CS within these institutions would also constitute targets for further disease education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an ethical individualized strategy to drive market development/disease awareness for key tertiary centers
- Always lead with a patient-focused approach aligned to current CS guidelines and approved supporting data
- Educate target physicians within key tertiary centers on the latest data and developments in the field of hypercortisolism
- Regularly attend Endocrinology grand rounds sessions, conferences, and other relevant meetings
- Partner with Endocrinology fellowship programs to establish advocates as new Endocrinologists enter clinical practice
- Bridge the gaps in communication regarding the broad spectrum of CS amongst various target physician specialties within key tertiary centers
- Identify current and future institutional key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the cardiometabolic, surgical, radiological, and other related disease spaces
- Function as liaison and collaborator within key tertiary centers and for KOLS in prespecified territory
- Collaborate with sales counterparts and appropriate internal stakeholders to drive market growth/development
- Operate within compliance guidelines at all times
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Experience working in tertiary centers with a specialty in endocrinology, orphan disease or other specialized markets
- Experience working with regional- and national-level KOLs
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills including written, oral & presentation capabilities
- Strong clinical acumen
- Demonstrated patient-focused mindset and approach
- Required to travel by car and plane at least 80% of the time
- Must maintain a driving record in accordance with Corcept vehicle policy
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience
- 2 years working with institutions

The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $167,800 - $246,700; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
